Many people who usually have regular vitamin B12 injections at their GP surgery might find it more difficult to visit during the Covid 19 outbreak. Make sure you speak to your GP by telephone and discuss a suitable oral alternative if your B12 injection is due soon. Guidelines for people who have had weight loss surgery surgery now suggest 1000 micrograms tablet is a suitable alternative interim dose. If you are unable to obtain a prescription, check your pharmacy for a suitable over the counter option. Make sure your injections resume as soon as possible and certainly within 3 months.
